NdFeB-P
NdFeB magnets are mostly isotropic and still achieve a remarkable magnetic saturation magnetization of up to 800 mT. They cover a wide range of applications in automotive, servo motor and sensor technology. They can be pressed into molds with epoxy resins or injected into complex tools with various thermoplastics such as PPS or polyamide (e.g. PA12).
Framework data: applicable -40 to 160°C
With PA and PPS less sensitive to oxidation than comparable epoxy NdFeB magnets. Available in plastic bonded, injection molded isotropic and anisotropic magnets.
Areas of application: electric motor magnets, pumps, servomotors, sensors, ...
SmFeN ** New **
SmFeN magnets are plastic-bonded, mostly anisotropic permanent magnets that impress with their high anisotropic remanence values. Due to the use of rare earth raw materials, they are still more expensive than ferrites, but their price is stable and significantly cheaper than comparable plastic-bonded NdFeB magnets. They are used for technologically demanding tasks.
Framework data: applicable -30 to 120°C
Less sensitive to oxidation than comparable NdFeB magnets. Available in plastic bonded, injection molded isotropic and anisotropic magnets. Hybrid materials consist of mixtures of SmFeN with ferrites or HDDR powder. SmFeN cannot be manufactured as a sintered magnet.
Areas of application: electric motor magnets, pumps, servomotors, sensors, ...
